Same shit happened to my friend and it was his wheel bearings.

I concur, it defininantly sounds like a WB to me too unless your brakes are making funny noises.

Sometimes you can hear them going bad long before they get sloppy.

If you can hear it you might be able to feel it if you rotate the spindles by hand with the brakes and drive shaft removed.
