i am looking for some other opinions on this.. i have always wanted to get a bike.. and i was going to have both car and bike.. but right now i dont have money for both, but i want a bike a little more then a car.. just want some opinions on my thought.. to sell it and get a gsx-r 750.. or should i just wait until i can afford both?? thanks.

 

you almost haveto have a car..how you gonna haul stuff like groceries and other shit like that?....not to mention you have no choicer whether to ride in the rain/torential downpour etc if you haveto go somewhere....then you have the "what if you need to take a long trip somewhere?" factor....bikes are cool and all, but you haveto have a car IMO

I'd have to say if you don't even have the option of having another car to drive then don't get a bike. I've heard numerous accounts of people getting sick of riding everyday even when it's nice out. Then if it rains or is too cold your going to be miserable. Stick with a car until you can afford both a bike and a car.

You could pick up say a 96 or so cbr 600. Would be a good starter bike and you could get one pretty cheap. It's also to my understanding with a motorcycle you are not required to carry insurance, so it shouldn't be too hard on the wallet to own a bike with a car, just having to pay the initial cost of the bike which would be around $2500-3500 I'd say.

Wait untill you have a car. My brother has just a bike and he hates it. He is getting a car now. For the crummy days you have your car (fair share of those here in florida), and for the gorgeous days you have your bike (fiar share of those here in florida). So wait. It's well worth it. It's what I am also doing.

 

Stay with the car.

 

Depends on your situation- do u need transportion all the time- cuz a bike would be cheaper- no insurance- let u save ur money to get a nicer car- but I need my truck for work

 

I say a car.. its just less hassle... think of all the rain in the summer too..

But if you need both.. get a sub 2K car.. and then an old like katana 600 or something for a bike.. should find it for 1000 or so...

Then for 3-4 K your sorta setup...

yea you dont need insurance if you take this class.. yea i guess im just gonna wait to have both..
