would it matter? they use to make AWD Turbo celica's...whats so off norm about a V8...not like they cant get 25+mpg out of them...and i think this is just part of toyota's plot to be purely gas/electric by 2012.

Both valid points, they do make great cars. But I think almost everyone on TR doesnt really worry about 4 door family beaters like camrys, they think along the lines of skylines and supras, or the 'sport compact/performance market,' so most people are gonna be dissing Toyota. Im not a hater tho, my bro has a 98 camry 4 cylinder, slow as balls but hes also got a bike for when he wants to haul ass so its all good lol.

PS whats up dan (acr2nv), hi2u

I read somewhere the Celica is dead in the States as well, so that would leave this Corolla POS as their lone entry in the sportcompact scene? But Toyota is doing something right, they sell the most cars here anyway.

If the celica dies, they still have the matrix, so the corolla wouldn't be your only option.
