Okay whatever, if you guys would pay $10k for an '85 Corrolla thats you business.
And solo mata me, people buy a Mercedes because unlike Acura, they are innovators, they set the standards in engineering and design, and their technology is unprecedented. Its kinda funny you roll in an Acura and talk shit on Mercedes when all the Acura flagship sedans rip off the style of Benzos on a regular basis. So if a Benz can be compared to a Buick in your little world of denial, whats that make Acura?

Have you ever been to Europe? Mercedes are used for run of the mill Taxis. BTW, I don't roll in an Acura, thanks. You know jack shit about cars, so why should anyone listen to your opinion?

I'm just saying that they are not the end all, be all of automotive godliness that you make them out to be. It's just another car. What is ordinary and pointless to you might be someone else's pride and joy.
I seriously doubt they use SR20det equipped Silvias out there in Africa to run down poachers. Can't say that idea would make much sense. But a cream colored c230 with a little taxi light on the roof does.
But hey, I am just some kid who is all caught up in the Fast and the Furious LED nozzle NOS bottle lifestyle, what do I know?

Mercedes has the lowest rating for customer satisfaction out of any auto maker, lower than even lowely Nissans or Acuras. That says a lot. MB doesn't innovate shit except how to get people to spend $40,000 more than the car is worth.

And by her interest in fixing cars, smoking cigars, and firing guns, her lesbianism also comes shining through.
And solo_mata_me, my sig picture is old, very old. I drive a new Mercedes; do a search on my name to find out what it is if what I drive is such a concern to you. If I had wanted to jump on the S13 bandwagen, I would have and would have plenty of change left.

It is a very clean and rare car that I would rock in an instant. An 86 that looks like that is practically begging for a SR swap.

As far as Mercedes vs. all others.
Mercedes are very ahead of the time as far as technology goes. Their cheaper in Germany because their closer to the plant so no shipping charges are added, therefore Mercedes is not as much of a delicacy. In Japan things like the supra, rx7, silvia are all fairly cheap. In America, well Ford and Chevy are still expensive.
As far as the customer service thing, alot of it has to do with the new technology that is constantly being brought up. Acura has perfected what it has, Mercedes is always trying new things. Along with that the high price and rarity of mercedes in the US makes it easier for them to charge high prices to fix. The constantly changing designs makes it harder for anybody but a Mercedes technician to do many things without prior automotive knowledge. Above all this, the people who usually buy mercedes are rich people, who doesn't bitch about what they don't know more than rich people. I'm not talking about like 200,000 dollar a year rich, I'm talking about millions. They don't give a shit about their cars so of course their gonna complain, they have the money to do it without the dealership getting mad back.
As far as TurboCYA, yes mercedes are wonderful cars but you need to step off the pedestal for a second man. Every car has different aspects, how many people do you see drifting mercedes? Manual Transmission is hard to come by in the mercedes which is a downside by far for every Mercedes owner who wishes to race more than quarter mile. They do break down a lot but if you have a good amount of knowledge about them its usually easily fixable. Personally for German excellence I'd go Porsche, but of course not everyone can afford to work on an old porsche or buy a new one.
Not trying to start shit just trying to give a view from both sides.
Peace.
