Yea bud, it sure is a toyo moto built car, and yes, they can run less than 8 psi, it runs 5 psi, too bad you think you know everything about toyomoto, too bad you got all that info off their website, im glade someone did their research. yea that cars not the fastest thing in the world, but its got some balls to it. i drive the white crx right down the road from you dan, i dont know if you ever heard my b.o.v., i had the stockie ecplipse one. me and my buddy braxton are here crackin up on this post, what are the chances all these people are from south lakeland, but the lex isnt much special, has a badass sound system and all that shit. we might swing by your house sometime to see what your up to, i see you working on your car alot, if you ever wanna work on a honda i live in beverly rise and have a horrible habbit of blowing motors, im going on 3 now. well catch yall later -Ben

 

And you get your info from where? From a kid that doesn't know how his own turbo works? Why would anybody pay all that money for a detuned car? I know when I got my car back from Toyomoto it was pushing 17psi on pump gas with 419rwhp. Lance can tune the fuck out of a 2JZ-GE engine especially if this kid has the money to spend on it. Until you have first hand experience with their shop and the work they put out keep your mouth shut and your ears open, you might actually learn something useful.

 

His dad has the boost set low, you gotta remember cause hes driven this car for about a month, so its not nice learning on a 420 hp car, but lance did do this car and his dad knows whats going on, who i got my info from, hes a pretty good freind of mine thats why he always goes down pollard, i live down at the end of it. so i know where its coming from, and it is from toyomoto, sorry

 

Get this kid on the board! I just can't believe that it's only running 5psi. Thats not even worth the effort of putting the kit on and paying the money to tune it. I hit 5psi pulling out of my driveway in the morning.
Me2 - I'm not doubting anything your saying but this kid either needs to get some ballz or give me his car for the weekend so I can break the engine in the way its supposed to be. Of course if its still got the stock automatic in it without any upgrades 5-8psi may be all it would hold anyway .

ben - your white crx is turbo? or are u saying dsm as in the one the is300 has? if ur referring to ur crx, i havnt seen it lately, are u just doing it now? cuz it doesnt sound turbo by the exhaust? my brother has the black lowered integra that is there every once a month or so, he goes to college in orlando, but is i guess going to sell it for a dsm or something. yeah stop by if ya see me out there. hopefully tomorrow my sway bars will be in so i might be out tinkering.

as far as the IS, id just like to catch a ride in it or take a look at it, maybe take some pics even? i dont think people should hate if its on 5psi or not, i give props to the dad for making his son learn that level first, i dont want probably what is about almost 40K dropped if he wrecks it or something.

 

Yea hes just a learner on driving that car, it got a new tranny from toyomoto, its a supra 5 speed, the stock 5 speed was much easier to drive than the new one, it has like no play in nuetral, its weird i drove it one day and didnt like it all, you had to slam the clutch to the ground to shift it easily, and there was no slip point in the clutch at all. Yea my white crx was turbocharged for a couple of weeks, ive blown 2 motors so far on 8 psi, so im gonna do it right for this next motor. Ill swing by one day if i ever get a new motor for this car

 

How would I know...? Well lets see...Maybe because my turbo kit was manufactured and installed by Lance @Toyomoto himself and ...just maybe I know him personally and have been boosting a Toyomoto Stage 5 turbo kit on my car? But your right...I read the website and know nothing at all. You know absolutely nothing bout Turbo 2Jz's but thanks for stepping up to the plate and trying....

and how many motors have you blown up you shit fuck.......when you turn 18 remind me to kick your stupid ass! and i dont know is300matt, but i've read on other forums and he knows what he is talking about and what he is doin......also kbprice has torn his car apart many of times by himself ....just because he took his car to toyomoto for something doesnt mean he cant work on it himself.....buddy....stick to your honda for now.....stop messin with the big boys.......

matt- your IS is a very clean car its top of the line and quality. HOWEVER, that doesnt mean toyomoto didnt build this kid's car either. i am in no way dissing any side here, if the kid doesnt wish to know about his car thats fine. sometimes parents like to live vicariously through their kids and want them to have stuff maybe they didnt get growing up/when they were younger. as long as his dad knows whats going on, thats cool with me. as long as the kid doenst run his mouth about it being a 9sec car, or acts like he knows (or if he does, at least TRIES to learn and figure out all the shiny gadgets in his engine bay), there shouldnt be problems.

ps - matt - i know you have supposedly dyno'ed and such, how about some drag radials and a trip to the track?
