hey... i am lookin to go a little different with my mugen prelude. i want to get a flat black paint job all around and have carbon fiber accents. the few paint shops that i have called will only do a gloss paint job....urethane or base coat clear coat. i want it to be good long lasting paint but i also want the person doin the job to do A GOOD JOB. i juss got a silver paint job and the shit is juss flakin off...and the guy missed spots... its horrible. let me know if anyone has any info. thanks

 

Hell, if you want flat black you can easily do it yourself.

i purchased a mugen front bumper (real) and side skirts from jarco incorporated in georgia. all together costing me about 1500 .... then jdm black housing one piece headlights. my bumper got cracked by a log falling out the back of a lawn truck (pisses me off just typing it) but i am in the process of having it fixed and i was hoping to get a paint job (flat black) once it is fixed.... how would i do it myself?

Not to be rude, but I don't think a Mugen bodykit makes your car a "Mugen Prelude" any more than a Black Widow bodykit makes your car a deadly spider.

As for the paint, just spray it yourself.

 

well what would make my car a mugen prelude? there is not a classification--mugen. it is a aftermarket part for hondas. and i have the rarest pieces for my car... which are mugen. and i am goin jdm. and i will be getting more and more mugen goodies.. i would think of my car as a mugen prelude. i have a mugen ecu waitin for my vtec swap too. what paint should i use for the flat black?

thanks.. smartass...lol.... naw i mean should i use any specific brand or anything. i dont want it to juss be spray paint... thas ghetto. i want to use paint meant for cars... i have a spray gun and compressor..... its juss i have never painted a car before. there are no paint shops that would do it for cheap?
