lets see, going into corners at speeds and angles that cause your car to lose traction....or going in a straight line........but then again, you are talking about two totally different things.....one is about speed and acceleration, the other is about sliding around corners........ill just say racing is safer

i dont think either one is safe but i said drifting because if someone is harmed it would more than likely only be yourself. in street racing lots of people can get hurt

I think it all depends on the driver. Either one can have mishaps, even with professionals.

With professional drivers....
i'd say it would depend on the day they are having. Shit, they are trained drivers. Out of my own experience, I've seen more damage happen at drag stips to cars losing it right off the line.

In comparison with regular daily citizens drifting or street racing...
i think that each can be equally dangerous. I've never seen anyone drifting lose it. But then again, they werent newbs at it. At the races I've encountered a lot of idiots that shouldnt be allowed to drive. However, the people that have been doing it for some time that are out there, organize everyone pretty well.

it's a toss up.

the only thing you will run into in a parking lot while drifting.... air?!?... street races involve the spectators... i remember watching that video of the stang vs camaro on that really narrow 2 lane road... the camaro lost traction in 1st, went head on into the crowd took out some guy's knees and then to the opposite direction with the guy still on the hood... err that + the nasty stuff ive experienced out at races... err dori in open lots hehe nothing beats that...

Depends where your drifting at, but for the most part street racing is obviously more dangerous. Unless your drifting in traffic,
