Yeah, I was looking at APC too, there known for such ricey stuf, are there hoods any good?? The seem to be lighter in color than the other hoods I looked at but it might just be the picture.

I have seen good and bad APC carbon fiber hoods. The guy in charge of import parts at AE (I think his name is Guy) swears they are one of the highest quality and most consistent quality hoods around. I've seen a few, and I was impressed.
Whatever you do, try to find one with rolled edges. Some do, some don't. If I were you, I would also get it from a retailer like AE just so you can inspect the hood before handing over any cash. If you do it through mail order, they usually try to screw you over on shipping damages or make you pay shipping if you find something wrong in the weave.
