can someone tell me the difference between rice and nice, cause my firend is sitting here telling me that rice cars can be fast and i said no way cause rice = all show no go. nice is nothing bigger than a 16" rim and a fully built motor!! am i correct??

 

nice= nice lip kit, can look like a sleeper, hauls ass, dosent show off

rice=big wings, neons, shit talkers, spend more money on decals than performance, "traffic racers", apc, huge wheels,

 

no rice can be fast, all rice is, is sounding like a weed eater and nice rims and fast or slow i doesnt matter

 

I think you can have big wheels if they are matched correctly to the car...and not be considered rice. Rice is more of an overdoing of a vehicle with un-nessacary pieces/parts such as tons of graphics which have nothing to do with the cars, usually different types of tail lamps/head lamps, huge wings which have no useful effect on performance, unusally loug exhausts which also have no effect on performance unless your setup requires you to run a 4" pipe and so on. Its all a matter of personal taste, but it has to be done in a tasteful manner. It works both ways...you can have a 400+whp car with tons of garbage on it and people will still call it rice...prove sometime at the track and you might get some type of street credit...but for the majority, people tend to spend more money on making their cars look fast, rather than actually being fast...which usually ='s rice.

 

I guess my car is really ricey cause 16" rims wont clear my brakes
