Don't know about these new ones coming out. But, the motor on the older 1.8L version is basically a normally aspirated version of the turbo 323 so it handles forced induction quite well. They love boost and put up impressive numbers. Ofcourse, aftermarket kits for the older Miatas (such as the Flying Miata kits) will put out 200++ hp...so this is primarily what I'm basing my opinion on. I seriously doubt Mazda was going for a drag monster when they decided to release this car anyways...it will definetly be a mean little auto-x car.

Good news. I'm still waiting for them to release the Mazdaspeed 6 thats supposed to be AWD and turbo. If that ever happens, I'll get a second and third job to get one

but you gotta think 178 ona soap box i mean i know stock crx's that can keep up wit wrx's.....an with the weight difference it would easily take out most 200hp an under cars

Yeah I'm 6-2 and can't even fit in one........Sucks cuz I'd love to take one of those for a spin......I bet they have some decent TQ #'s.

You know stock CRXs that run low 14s? You need to rethink the word "stock" man.

Can a stock CRX even break into the 16's?? I mean, maybe back in the day when they were newer...but the majority of those things I see nowadays look like they're about on their last leg.
