I like the older ones better... Aircooled - it's the only way to go... Apparently Porsche likes the older technology better too - Turbo and GT2 and GT3 engines are all based on the 964 block - early 90's technology! The low hp engines are based on the 996 (newer) water pumpers.

Yeah I say the 993 was the best 911 to date, it had the classic looks updated to modern times, and air cooled motoe, but damn this 997 is sweet, the reason they moved to watercooled is because of the strict emmision laws, and you can get more hp out of a waterpumper (and pass emmisions), but I agree that the Air cooled motors are sweet.
