Default smaller ports, better?

Anyone gone to this site: MotoTune USA ?

There's his articles on some controversial stuff...like smaller ports being better, and using a HARD break in, as opposed to a gentle break in.

His logic makes sense though, although probably not every engine needs smaller ports. I've heard the MX-6 heads are limited by small ports that can't be enlarged much.

I was curious because I'm gathering tools now for my head gasket/ piston ring project, and came across his site.

BTW the link doesn't subscribe you to anything...I bookmarked the page and posted the link. I subscribed several times at work, because my computer was acting up...if there's a Doug417@aol.com out there, YOU'VE GOT MAIL!

Matching is the key....

You dont want hogged out head intake/exhaust ports.. You dont want your heads ported to the max if you have a dinky cam/cams.
Head flow numbers are a good way of getting an idea of the performance of the head but velocity is often over looked as being an important factor.

I dont believe anything should be broken in hard...
It makes no sense to me. And it makes no sense to car manufactures who put 10 year warranties on there car who recommend a gentle break in period.

Wasn't aware we had a rotary section.

No, I was trying to find information about piston rings...so SURELY I wouldn't be looking in the rotary section, if we had one.

I have to do the same with mx6.com...there's hardly any mx6's here, and the ones I've seen, were all only posting with the intention to sell ):
