Experience??
I believe I have all the regular tools required. There's some specialty stuff I need to get, like valve spring puller, and something to measure with...but otherwise, I should be able to do all the major pulling to see how bad it's damaged. Most importantly I have a fairly empty garage...should have plenty of room to get around the car and a counter to work on.
It's the factory shop manual...really thick book, basically the best one there is...aside from the probe manual, which is better organizationally I hear, because it's in a ringed binder. Only cost me like...$9 or something from ebay - some bookstore clearing out inventory and I was the only bidder (: I'd look up the publisher, but it's sitting at work on the counter still (slow day).
