Default Lotus Elise

this car is nice. it costs $39,000 with only 190hp but it is an inline 4 and reaches 7800rpm and it onlt weighs 2000lbs!. the interior is stripped (just the way i like it) with exterior styling that i'd say is the best for under 40000. it does 0-100 in 12.6! and 0-60 in 4.9. sry, i dont kno the 1/4 mile but you can get an idea with the 0-100. if i had $40000 id definitly spend it on this thing! what do u guys think?

I think it's been discussed.

It's small too - I think a little shorter than a Miata. Wish it was 30K!

I love the size. 2 door, 2 passenger, mid-engine, roadster, perfect.

I like it also, but if it is similar in size to a miati, that is too small for me.

I put down a deposit at Dimmit after driving the Euro spec Elise (#44 on the list). It was a blast to drive and it will only be better here. Road&Track say it will run a 12.0 in the 1/4, but that is not what the car is made for!

This is a demo S2 Elise from California. One of the guys on EliseTalk took a bunch of pictures.

What I like is how high the sills are on the door. That's how you get a convertible to actually have a stiff chassis. Bonded aluminum is fun

Get a go-cart.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed in this car. 1/4 times are going to be 14 at best. Handling isn't going to be anywhere near what a light car should be. And it isn't going to be able to get out of it's own way on the straights.

Besides, I just can't get past driving a car named after a girl.

It'll be an ok car, nothing more. You'd have more fun with a shifter cart.
