skyline gtr coming to america?
first, the G35 is nice. The exhaust note is nice...even stock. Catches my attention every time my neighbor drives by.
Next, I was under the impression that we would get a AWD turbo GTR. not RWD. Also, the last I heard it would either be a turbo'd V6...or possible turbo V8. Most of this info I got from reading the Aussie skyline boards. I believe it is going to be an infiniti, but they are going to drop the name "skyline". It will be an "Infiniti GTR".
One more thing...shouldn't it be a V36? I mean, the R34 is the engine in the late '90s (the last good engine)...and isn't the R35 is the engine in the G35/current JDM nissan skyline? If so, I would think the next engine would be a V36... I'm sure the hardcore nissan guys will correct me if I'm wrong

it depends on if they redesign the g35 at the same time they release the GTR. If so, then yes it would be a 36, but it is supposed to be on the current g35/skyline making it a 35 at least for the one in japan in 2005. We now supposedly arent getting it till 2007 in which case it def could be a 36. This number however has nothing to do with the engine as the same RB26 was used from the 32-34. It is a body style or generation code. It goes up everytime it is redisigned. It will all but difinitely be an Infiniti. Naming wise, it should follow the current infiniti setup where its the letter(probably a X, R, or V...dont ask me why those letters) and two numbers for the size of the engine. So either a X33(3.3 twin turbo) or X54(5.4 V

Well, not exactly, the G35 has a noticeably longer wheelbase , and doesnt loose all that much in the sport area, although it does have a ot of added luxury

The g35 is so much more clean and sleak looking than the 350. The only thing i hate on the 350 is the bulky ass doorhandles...

350z also has added bracing with an "A" brace in the front to lock the lower susp together, and the rear also has an "m" brace again to do the same thing in the rear, oh and we are seeing AWD G35 sedans at the end of the year or beginning of next

what i heard was that it was gonna be a rear wheel drive twin turbo v6. that totaly takes away from the whole skyline image the reason most people like the skyline is because it was an inline six with a 4wd system that made an unbeatable combination of power.
