Car and Driver always seems to have slower times than Motortrend. If you have ever seen pictures of Car and Drivers staff most are old dudes (like mid to late 50s), so I wonder if that factors in.

 

Holy shit that's a heavy ass Holden! :o The new GTO does not really impress me. Too big, too little, too late. I can't see WS6 and SS guys lining up for these things. And it looks so damn boring on top of everything else. GM swings and misses if you ask me.

 

How so? its hella big and moves very well. Where are they missing at?

 

no it doesnt factor in, they flog the shit out of the cars, and more than one editor tests the cars, they take an average ET and mph from all the runs and print it

they also do tests at different tracks/elevations.....those are all huge factors

The original GTo was a small (for the era) car with a big motor in it. The first muscle car, according to most. This is just another power land yaght with a cheapy plastic interior. 3700lbs is needlessly obese. If I were in the market for a domestic, I'd go used SS before the GTO, no question.
