I go to school with a lot of richy people so I've been in a couple range rovers. I've never heard a complaint and they were all really nice cars overall but that expected for the price.

Why does it not cost a bunch to fix? and if it doesnt cost a lot for repairs for you because u have a connection or something then it wont really matter how many insignificant problems there are you'd have to find out about some major problems that might be going on. I'm not sure how many problems might have occured becasue all the people I know with them are insanely rich so they wouldn't care.

Check www.carpoint.com for reviews on the car and edmunds. They usually have reliability ratings and they rate common problems in areas of the cars along with specifics of some big problems.

Thanks for the site.

The problems I've read about are ridiculous oil leaks, suspension problems, locks malfunctioning, and exhaust systems ceasing to work (that sounds shitty). Also, lots of complaints of power/weight ratio hardcore xxx style. 0-60 in 10 secs...that's uber slow. And gas mileage sucks. It seems to have more cons than pros. Gotta take a better look I guess.
Well there usually intended for the rich or the adventurous. The richy people can afford the gas easily and the adventurous usually go offroading so there used to gas guzzlers. I wouldn't doubt there slow, there not the performance tuned type of car, mostly used for offroading or soccer moms. If you get one go out offroading so its actually worth the money spent, if you don't do that then its pretty much a waste.

Its a Brittish car therefore you can expect a 1:3 ratio. One month in the shop for every 3 months of driving. They have great coachwork and lousey engineering. Look at it this way Jaguars look great parked because they have to, half the time they don't run.

Are you refering to the Discovery? The years you mentioned are the Series I. Those are cursed with problems. Get the Series II (1999-On).

These things consume 13 mpg, by the way.
