right now... its MT... so MT that my gas light comes on if i brake to hard.

probalby only a few gallons in it right now. I need to do my fuel pump cuz i have a kid whos gonna buy my stocker off me for like Fiddy bux... a turbo Camry project. 5SFTE

i wanna notch or cut off the corner of my gas tank cuz as my exhaust comes under the tunnel in my rear subframe, it dead ends RIGHT at the corner of the gas tank, which requires a drastic 90* to go out to the side, and then another 90* bend to continue going back... not cool. I wanna cut the corner off the gas tank so i can run a smooth 45* after the Subframe and then a 4" axle-back... on a 45* angle of course.

EDIT: im just worried about the fumes being too strong and being a fire/explosion hazard during welding... joo know? they say youre supposed to fill it with water before welding... but its just mild steel i think... dat shitll rust over in half an hour or sooner.

Many times radiator shops will do fuel tank welding.
I have a rear sump welded into my stock fuel tank which was installed at a radiator shop. (Not locallly)

Yes, they do fill the tank with water.

If you goto an experienced person they will pump argon, or some non flammable gas into the tank before welding it to push out all of the fumes, this will prevent any explosion. MAKE SURE THEY DO THIS!

meh... i couldnt afford the down time... i just put a pushed up the one offending corner of the gas tank. so i now should have enough clearance to run my axle-back exhaust. i had to trim the plastic rock sheild and the aluminum heat sheild for the stock muffler that mounted right next to the tank.

now on my exhaust, i just need to fabricate a heat sheild to mount to the exhaust itself... its gonna be ICEE!!!!

Next on the shopping list:
[ ] Dynomax Race Bullet, 3"
[ ] Chrome Semi-truck stack, 6"
[ ] 1/2" metal hole saw
[ ] Stainless nuts, bolts, lockwashers (3)
[ ] Mild-steel sheet stock, 6"x6"

Yes, im making my own tunable muffler

If the exhaust wont clear w/ the clearance i made, i will have to get it out... just have to see about the lack of swinging room though.
