911 Turbo's are great cars too - doubt you would get into one under 25K - one that wouldn't eat you out of house and home. I was thinking more flat 6 Carrera. The 90-94 C2's put down NA 247 HP stock. 0-60 in 5.3 and will do 140 all day up to 165 if you want to loose your license. And they get up to 140 in a hurry. They are built this way from the beginning - no mods are needed. Go 60 mph and punch it in 3rd gear and it will accelerate like most cars do from 0-60. The older turbos are not much quicker - maybe 5.1 0-60 and then only if it's in great tune. Now mod a turbo and you can get big numbers.

Nick - how do you like your 350? I have another friend that has one that has had all sorts of trouble with it. It squeaks and rattles, pieces of trim are falling off...

If it was me, which it isn't, it would probably be:

1st choice: 96-99 M3....Look good, handle great, good power, strongly built, track and autocross monsters, and top speed stability. Also comfy and luxurious (4 door anyone ). But higher upkeep bills.

Close 2nd: S2000....Handle/go/stop very well, Honda quality reliability, decent maintenance charges. But not much room and probably wouldnt be as good a daily driver as the M3.

IS300 wouldnt compare, and you'd always be waiting to dump 5k into a GTE swap. Same goes for the Supra. Awesome car but a money pit. SRT-4 is just an econobox with balls. 911 would be nice, but expect maintenance bills to be higher than the other choices.

My philosophy is, get something you love in stock form, and you could drive for the rest of your life stock, and add on whatever you can to make it even better. I've learned that getting a car you plan to mod heavily from the start will never leave you satisfied.

Good luck.

I drove my friends S2000 around fort myers for a weekend.. personally i thought it was a great around town car, its extremely docile like a civic would be, but then at the higher revs, tis out right fun! I loved how easy it was to drive even in traffic jams... easy clutch and shifter action
