Husband and wife team blew a tire and crashed for like a half mile. Wife died, husband was in critical condition. I think he had H Rated tires on his Ferrari. The Silver State people really need to inspect the tires. There is no other way yo crash on an open stretch of highway unless you try.

I remember when Lingenfelter drove one of his Vettes to a top speed record at Daytona...they used A Special set of Michelins that were x-rayed for flaws and then only put on when the car was on the track.

Does anyone know what speed they had gone up to?

 

theres no way to prepare a tire for the silverstate classic....its a public highway, theres going to be rocks, gravel, road debris and other little shit that you dont think twice about at 70-80mph, but could kill you at 150+

im just amazed no one died in that wreck. :o
