a v8 in a rx-7?
why just why???? the rotary kicks ass, if u wanted it faster u should've got the twin turbo. i frown on this
i can see why they would do it, light body + big v8 = w/e
but isnt this a little ununcontrolable?

I am not a big fan of the rotary engine(however I did want to put a 13b in my spitfire) but that just doesnt seem like a very good swap IMO. That car will not handle nearly as well as it did before plus that could not have been cheap or easy to swap out and fabricate everything needed to make it fit and be reliable (I would assume adding a turbo or modding the rotary would be much cheaper and easier).

If this car weren't a bargain basement swap, i.e. basic 350, I'd pick it up and turbocharge the damn thing. Throw a serious rear end in the back, some aftermarket heads, forged internals, big clutch and a sturdy manual box behind it. Rotaries are not my cup of tea...prefer a reciprocating assembly and a nice, aluminum small block would make that car interesting as Hell.
I'd throw a Scoob motor in there, but the STi hardware is way expensive and fitting an H4 in that engine bay would not be fun. Would be a fun project though.
