Question
Are you talking about for running 3 phase equipment on 2 phase power or for DC to AC conversion?
Either way, anything is possible as long as the converter and power source is rated for the load you will put on it.

I don't know about that. I tried to run a 13 inch tv and a dvd player off of an inverter at the same time as having my radio on and it just instantly blew a fuse somewhere down the line. I think the inverter was rated for it, just barely, but the power line to the cig lighter must not have been.
make sure you're using at least a 1200 watt inverter, keep the car running, and make sure the water levels in your battery are topped off. and if the items don't work well, you're putting an inductive load on the inverter, which can be corrected by plugging a small lamp, low wattage, into one of the empty plug sockets.
oh yeah, and pray that you don't screw up your alternator.
