Tint law
Last night me and my fiancee were driving down Gib drive when a midget and the bearded lady jumped ........... no wait that was last month.
Anyway ....... we got pulled over for her muffler (Booo), when the cop came to talk to us he mentioned that our front strip was past the legal mark. The tint job was done @ a shop were we told them to keep everything legal. We got a ticket for both the tint and the muffler.
Does anyone have any input on Florida laws concerning the front strip of a car?

If they told you it was legal, find your receipt and give it to the judge when you take it to court. Otherwise take it off and pay the small fine. Ifyou didn't get a ticket then leave it. Unless you are in that area all the time.
the law states nothing below that little 1sa line or whatever it says like 3-4 inches down from the top of the glass...

hahahaha i have 5% limo all the way around......gotten pulled over countless times and drive next to cops w/ my windows up all the time.....and never gotten a ticket for my tint......if i got one id just pay it, its no big deal....its worth it in florida
and i have a 4inch strip on my windshield too

My whole front Windsheild is tinted. And I have limo on every thing else. Only one ticket cause the cop couldnt find anything else to write me a ticket for. He didnt notice the windsheild. HAHA

glair Strip cant pass your rearview and tint has to be above 19%uv onl exception are bus,limo,and handycapped

There is usually a little mark on your windshield denoting where the legal length is....if it's not there.....places usually do like 4 inches. And the strip can only be 20% darkness.
If it was done at a shop, and they guarentee it to be street legal, I would take it back to the shop and talk with them.
