My friend is interested in doing an engine swap for his 98 Jetta GL. Hes thinking about getting the h22 engine. Would it fit? How much would it cost to buy the engine alone? And how much HP would he be lookin at. Thanks. (Sorry if this is a stupid question, i really dont know much about cars.)

its not my car, its my friends car. He wanted to me ask this. I have nothing to with this, jus helpin out a friend. I personally dont know the answer to this, so i was hopin someone could clear this up for him.

 

he'd be better off with the VR6 swap.....but thinking a honda motor will just "bolt" into a VW is just insane......be realistic

 

 

u might as well just stick a giant v8 in there, it would be just as hard and faster.

 

Wow, I can't believe someone would attempt this. A) He should just buy a prelude or B) Do a vr6 swap... like someone else said.

In Tampa, we have one of the best shops in the southeast... if not the country for vr6 swap. I don't care what people say about Les..... he does damn nice vr6 swaps.
