Default O-ring...getting it out of a flange...

Im having a terrible time removing an o-ring from my old hks bov. I was wondering if anyone knows how i may be able to remove it easily. I've already bought the special plyers and so on but it just doesnt want to come out. Im squeezing as hard as possible and its just that I get them touching and then it snaps back....whats the best way to get an o-ring out? ill try to take some pics later...hopefully.

An O-Ring is a round rubber seal.

If you mean snap ring and you claim you have the special pliers for them then I would have to assume the ring is rusted to where you need to loosen it up with some penetrant and a screwdriver or some other type of prying instrument and then use the pliers.

Either that or you are not using it correctly.

For either one of those, you might want to try a dental pick (like at the dentist's office) and some care. You'd need a stiffer pick to break free the snap ring, thinner to get the oring out.
