Zate, having driven both, I'd much prefer the 350Z as a daily driver over the Cobra. The gas mileage of the 350Z is better than the Cobra, and the 350Z has a distinctive style that can't be confused for a V6 Mustang. Agreed it needs more HP, but that can be done easily enough. But having driven both, I have no clue how you can say the Cobra handles better than the 350Z. Sure the Cobra handles well, but it's light years behind the 350Z. Are you sure the tires were inflated on your 350Z test drive?

Not in power, but handling, overall suspension, and refinement..

Yeah the brembo's on the 350Z's work really well.
I give them a 8 out of 10 for brakes. Some of the BMW's like the 330i's, and vettes brake better but the 350z's is up there..
That shifter is an awesome factory shifter. Feels like an NSX shifter. Porshe 911 shifters are the only ones i like better as far as stock shifters go.
The handling of that car is really good. Very little body roll.
Interior is clean but plain.
Testing their lateral G's.. heres some rankings of how well that 350Z holds compared to others
WRX being the worst around a corner god those tires suck
RSX, Z28 and GTs tires stick good but to much body roll
Cobra, SS, Evo's feel really tight.
LS1 Vette's, 350Z's i'd put really close to eachother
NSX, 911 porshe, that little Protege (MP3?) handle incredible.
Power.... im bias and my car is modded.. but they are just way to slow even with bolt ons. the last one i raced.. well i had to put it in neutral and wait awhile to see if he was still racing..
If i were to buy a 350 i'd have to add some forced induction to it to back the name. A lot of people who are car illiterate think that car is faster than camaros and Vettes. ??? I dont know what gives them that idea.

I was wondering about those Brembos simply because I basically had that same brake kit on the front of my old Mustang and w/o ABS it had retna detatching stopping power. The Track model 350Z has them on all 4 corners and ABS (I would assume), so it must haul down in a hurry.

If it wasn't for the super cheapy interior, I'd have probably ordered one by now....that's why I'm waiting and getting a G35 instead.
The sales guy in Brandon told me 05 is the last year for them, and each year till then, production numbers will decrease each year. With their popularity, I highly doubt that.

IMO, I would spend the little extra cash on the G35 coupe.
