Default fox conv doors vs cp/hb doors

Im looking for a set of doors for my 88 t-top. HO fibertrends makes a set of fiberglass doors for cp/hb, and i need the convertible ones (same as t-top). The tech there was telling me that convertible doors are simply cp/hb doors that the factory literally sawed off the window frame. Anybody know anything about that???

I really need some doors so i can get this thing painted and properly weatherstripped.

The mirrors may or may not be different. Ford started putting different mirrors on the convertables in 90 or 91. Prior to that the coupes, hatchbacks, and convertables all shared the same mirrors...so he shouldn't have a problem. Never did like the newer Fox convertable mirrors, they really don't flow well with the car.

I think in 89 they started putting the mirrors on the side of the door instead of the corners. They started doing this in 88 for the t-tops, so mine has the ones on the door itself. I personally prefer the mirror in the corner, but beggars cant be choosers
