Default Gears....

I've always stuck with FMS.... are there any brands to stay away from?

I have Ford Racing 3.73's in my 8.8 and been beating them ever since I left the shop like 3 month's ago, they are fine .

I haven't had any problems with em

where'd you get your gears done? If you don't mind me asking, how much?

got them done at Extreme on 66th street right before the railroad tracks....
its on ure right, like RIGHT before the railroad tracks in the back of the biz complex.
Rick Ralph is the man 2 see.I cant remember exactly but the gears were around 180, plus I think about 150 total labor.
I cant be exactly sure, so if that sounds to high, it could me, call him up sometime...
He recently screwed up his eye pretty bad working on a car so I dont know if he is back and working yet.
They called what he had an "open globe" , that doesn't sound to fun.
give him a ring, really good mech....

i had mine done at race related, gears, installation and everything needed for install was 400, i had new clutches put in so it came to 500

or you can take them to Joe @ Fordspeed, i've had him put in 3 sets for me, no probems at all.

If/when I get my gears Im going to Joe, aswell. As far as Race Related, I wouldnt trust them to pump my gas.

Damn, sorry about that Faethor. I guess I can add that Alan's GearWorks in Clearwater told me that they only recommend the FMS gears for our Mustangs.
