Anyone here know FAST or DFI?
Or know anyone in this area that does. My buddy with the '98 Cobra just got a new F1-SC on his car and is leaning towards a stand alone system now. I was just wondering if you guys knew anyone in this area that may be able to help him with the learning curve and/or be able to program it for him.
Also, if anyone with a '96-'98 4V is looking for a supercharger, he is selling just the head unit he was using before. It's a Procharger D1-SC with less than 500 miles on it. If you're interested let me know and I'll find out what he wants for it. Thanks.

Chris, the guy who has the shop next to BMR (the F-body guys) in seffner has FAST and is pretty decent at tuning it. He also knows a few people who are good at it.
Otherwise tell him to buy it from Mike Murillo and he will get a ton of support and a good base program.
If he gets the wideband for it then it will be EASY to tune as it has a 30% correction factor. You tell it a target A/F and then you datalog and make your changes.

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.

We can help him with anything he needs if he gets the FAST computer. That's what Rob switched to when he got rid of his carb and the car ran faster and more consistant then ever. If he does get it, make sure he gets it set up with sequential injection instead of the older batch fire style. It costs a little bit more, but well worth it.
Kurt Sanders is the guy that owns the 70 Nova next to BMR with the FAST computer in it. Rob tunes his car.
BMR is bringing their Camaro to our shop next week to have us finish installing their FAST computer and put a tune in it.

Might want to look into the AEM as well. They don't make a plug and play for the 4v (yet), but they do make one for 5.0's and that can be re-worked to do the 4v with a bit of work (nothing more than installing a FAST or DFI). The AEM is $1400 and has more features than anything costing at least twice that amount. Every pin in the harness is fully programmable as to what it does, if it datalogs, etc.
We were actually looking at the AEM set-up just a few days ago now that you mention it. You can download the software from their web site. We checked it out for a little while and it was very similar to the FAST computer. Most of the programing pages were very, very similar, but the graphs looked a little more primative. There still were a few differences between the two though.
