I helped a turtle cross the road today.
On the way to Shalane's house, I almost killed this big turtle coming down Shalane's road. Luckily I was in my dad's Sentra and managed to drive over the turtle without injury. If I was in the Cobra(1.5" drop) I prolly would have killed it. I figured I'd do my good deed for the day and help the turtle across the road and into the grass. Just thought I'd share this and is a nice change of pace from Leslie's tragic turtle story.

awww, that was great of you. saving turtles is awesome.
my senior year of high school this dude named pablo found a turtle in the front seat of his jeep
(i guess one of his stupid friends put it in there as a joke?).
well, he was too scared to touch it so, HE KICKED IT OUT & LEFT IT LYING ON ITS BACK in the middle of the parking lot!
(what a jerkface.)
so i picked it up, wrapped it in my sweater, put it in the front passenger seat of my car
& put it in the pond in my backyard, when i got home.
