Default Dead engine for fresh engine project pics.

Here's some pics of my progress on this friggin engine swap (1997 Escort SPI)man is it a pain lol.

The new engine

2struts lower control arms and axles free with the engine/tranny


Cap'n we're losing oil! My brother hit the oil pan when we were pulling out the exhaust and dumped it all over hehe.


As cleaned up as I could get lol.

Yeah it's a huge mess stupid FWD is so annoying. We have to take the engine and tranny out as a unit. We needed more room to work so we took the intake/exhaust off. The head was already off because we tore it down to see why it was making that horrid racket hehe.

Update!

Hood removed...



Here's the engine being removed...







Torque converter wasn't supposed to come out with the engine but it wasn't working with us so there it lies...hehe




The cleaner part of the work area...lol

The new engine came from a wrecked/rollver and the oilpan and oilcatch was busted up. I used my old engine oilpan and oil catch.

Engine being dropped in with the "cherry picker" as we call it...





And...the engine installed. Looks like the old one..lol
