61cc combustion chambers - compression?
Looking at a set of o-ringed Trick Flows with 61cc chambers. On my 306, I believe they will yield 9.2/1 compression. Currently I am running 8.75/1 with no detonation. Would the higher compression be a benefit or detriment?

The higher compresion ratio will be a benefit especially if you are running N/A.
As for the compression ratio, it all depends on your deck height, head gasket thickness, pistons you are using, etc. There is a lot more that comes into play other than just chamber size when figuring out compression ratios. Best thing to do is pour the engine and get an exact number.

Mike, for what you're looking to do (low boost in a street car) upping the compression to 9.2 will be fine. If you ever want to go crazy with the boost, I'd stay lower but I think you're looking more for a street toy than a race car so this should fit your needs well.
That is true, I am not really going to race the car a whole lot. I was really looking at these heads for my next motor, a 347. I really need to put more research and thought into exactly what my goals are. Well, time will tell.

Make sure you have someone good at tuning, 347 and turbos are a nasty setup but take a little TLC.

I'm planning on spending the money and building the motor right. I may go so far as buying a FAST system for it, although the AEM in this month's 5.0 mag looked like it might be a good choice. At the very least, JMS (Chris Johnson) will handle the tuning chores. Well, anyway, it's not the destination, it's the journey.
