Ford parts swap?

 

They both appear to have been damaged may be they were damaged in transport? Alot of cars get badly damaged in transport and are later donated to schools cause they can not be sold cause of frame damage. That would be my guess.

 

Possibly a structural integrity study? I know it is not uncommon for manufacturers to pull random cars off the asembly line and tear them apart to look at quality processes and to evaluate how well designs are being implemented in construction.

it is not uncommon for Ford to "destroy" test cars when they are done with them. Ford sends them to an outside company to be diassembled and then the parts are sent to the Ford owned salvage yards called Greenleaf. The outside company is called DST. I have seen lots of interesting things at Greenleaf. I wont be surprised if those cars end up there.
some cars ive seen...a 5.0L 5sp Explorer, an auto 4.6L DOHC 95 Mustang, 2000 Cobra convert., etc.....

 

I don't know the deal with those cars but I'd take the one w/ just the rear wheels missing. I know Ford doesn't destroy all the test cars cause I have one. I got a 94 gt that had a 4.6 in it. My friend had a good connection at Ford and they gave him 3 cars because he was the A/sedan champion 2 years in a row. 2 of them were test cars and the third was a body in white. he had to give up racing cause he got lyme disease so I got one car from him. Its has 173 miles on it! I wonder what they can tell from testing a car in 173 miles. It also has some funky alum. spacers inbetween the frame and k-frame I guess to fit the mod. oh and also has the hydro boost which I don't think they had in '94. also had hundreds of extra feet of wires I'm guessing for test equipment.
