With a 15x8" rim they recommend no wider than 10". Now I've seen guys shoehorn 11.5" on a 8" rim but u start to get the rainbow affect on the contact patch. The whole tire won't touch the ground. With your situation using a 8.5" wide slick on a 8" rim is perfectly fine. U may want to go to a 10" wide if u can fit it under the wheel well. The wider the better! -Mark

Mark beat me to it. A 9in wheel would work well also.
