I'seen custom Carb/turbo setups but the bonnet alone was $900:o
Think of the total cost before you undertake this project. It's not as easy as slapping a turbo on. Forced induction comes with it's own problems. Especially since that car is your daily driver. You have to build up the motor, fuel system, etc. Will you tranny handle it too?All that is alot of $$$.
Your motor has a lot of potential. Try heads and cam combo. Try another carb. Later on bore it or stroke it.

i'd concentrate on getting the car on the road first... i know it is running and all, but you need to fix what stuff it has now ...
i dont think a turbo project is good for a beginner who has limited funds... IMO
