Well, my friend Mike took his 95gt out to Sunshine tonight, broke the trans.. which is a Tremec less than a year old...
funny thing is he broke his t-5 last year about the exact same time, literally.. broke it the day before we were to leave for Atlanta, this time he was a week ahead of schedule...


looks like he's going to go to a C-4...
once it's cracked open and repaired i'm sure it'll be for sale...

 

Is it a 3550? If so, I might be interested in an as is deal.

 

Would that be Steffani? That sucks that it broke just before the race. However, it has been my experience that that is exactly when things break, at least for me. I tried for 4 years to get into the FFW...every time it rolled around, I was running great a few weeks before then WHAM! Something would break and I would miss it.

He'll like the C-4 and he should pick up a little performance if he gets the combo right. I've now had a C-4 in two cars and they were great in both cases. Worst I ever did to them was wear out the bands and cracked 2 bellhousings (stock ones).

 

Derek, why don't you let him use your C-4 for the Atlanta race. We should be able to get it installed before it's time to leave.

He's not going to worry about Atlanta I believe, but he is going towards a C-4, not sur what brand (Dynamic, etc).

We're figuring it'll drop it right into the 10s no problem as soon as he get's it hooked up, if we get the converter hooked up right i think it'll be a 10.80 car all day long...
Then we'll throw some real juice at it...
