FFW Orlando
Fordman and I went to Orlando on Saturday for the FFW Orlando meet. Car count seemed pathetic as did spectator turnout (I'm sure NMRA will be much better this weekend). We were only able to see the first round of qualifying, but did witness a 6.65 pass in decent weather with a crappy track. Saw a car lose it and bounce off the wall a few times (it was his own fault, he let off the throttle and got back in it again :roll) overall it was a good day though. Got to finally meet Derek (Strokd85) and Joe (TS 25) both were great guys.
How did you guys end up doing? What did we miss on Sunday?

I wasn't expecting too much as I went to the race with a completely new, untested combo. Unfortunately, I qualified 7th out of 13 cars, which paired me with number 2 qualifier Jon Scaro first round. Needless to say it wasn't a happy ending. I still have a few bugs to work out like the converter and gear as well as a few other small things. Atlanta is 39 days away. I should have the time between now and then to make some changes and become a little more competitive. We'll see how things go in GA.
Good meeting you as well Dave! Mike (one of the guy's I was helping) unded up qualifying 18th of 26th.. Ran his best time so far, but was far outclassed in the class (we knew he would be), hell they were running an old outlaw car! Didn't miss much sunday, overall the weekend kinda blew, but as they say.. A bad day of racing is better than any day at work... Joe stepped it up and will be getting that beast into the 10's for sure! As for me, well I've begun formulating a plan for a new combo..
