Default Well mixed results from my 373's

I think I should of stayed with my 327's. Alot of money and no faster actually slower.
Before at BMP:
8.52@87mph 1/8mile 2.0 60 time

Last night at Sunshine:
8.55 @ 83:o 1/8 mile 1.81 60 time

Two things to note the weather was not as good, and my car was not as cool as the first time out,but on my first run I had the hood up for 45mins(blower still hot as hell).I know once you hook you usually lose a couple mph because your not spinning.................. but 4 mph??
Come on will hotter weather and a little hotter motor add up to a loss of 4mph the tires are the same height as my 18s but Ive recently changed to 373s and think that I might be going past my torque curve instead of pulling through it like I was???
I wonder if this will change when I add more boost and get a cold-air kit that frees in up some or if a lower gear is whats needed in these Roots blown cars??

What tires are you running if they are still street tires your e.t. will suffer from the higher gear.

Looks good to me...you were down 4 mph and yet you were still able to run the same ET. I would say it's more track/weather conditions than gears. MPH is a result of HP while ET is a result of TQ. The weather hurt your HP but the gears helped your TQ more. I was running 3.73 in my car and it's best in the 1/8 was 7.15 @ 98 mph so there's plenty of umph in the 3.73's, more so than in your old gears. You just need a little more ass pushing 'em is all.

Mudguts: ET Streets, and I 60' about the same as you and on the dyno I had the same or more than you so what are your 1/8 times??

DrDirt: Are saying I dont have enough ass, I think my ass is big enough and I thank you to never say I dont have enough

The loss of 4mph is what makes me think that the gear must have killed something.I even reset the computer and took out the headlight and while it felt stronger only went from a 8.62@83 to a 8.55@83 and my 60 dropped from a 1.89 to a 1.81 after but still lost 4mph.
Im wondering if maybe it will payoff in the 1/4,but usually they follow the 1/8 times. But maybe the car will pull harder up top and make the gears worthwhile?????????

Josh here is my 12.33 pass.

60---1.796
330--5.116
1/8 mile 7.888 at 88.16

You should try your car at Bradenton a see what you come up with your car might wake up on the big end. Also keep in mind my car is much lighter than yours.
