Exactly. If someone were to do an unbiased study on recalls and reliability for Domestics vs. Imports, I'm sure we would see similar reports from both sides.

It all comes down to driver care/abuse. I know that motor mount met an early demise from my abuse. The 2nd set of wheel bearings and the clutch failed due to improper installation by the mechanic...more human error than failure in Ford's engineering dept.

 

I see more Contours and ZX2's i the shop over the Foci. Hell I feel for anyone with a ZX2 with the ztec cause it's a giving at 70,000 miles you are going to need new motor mounts and the eletrical nightmares the contours have.
