Rocker Ratios
A friend of mine was telling me he put 1.7RR on the intake side and 1.6RR on the exhaust side. What are (if any) the benefits from doing this?

The 1/7's will make the stock cam a little bigger (more lift). I had them on my car a while ago and it helped a little. I have not heard of many people doing what your friend mentioned. Usually that is done on real high powered race motors.
I know we did it on our sprint car motors back in the day but they were purpose built motors.

I think Joe is selling GT40P or X heads for $900. Thats just to much money for my to spend right now on just heads. I was looking to spend that much on a stock motor. What kind of condition is your T5 in? Is it stock?

Actually that was another set of heads I was selling and it came with rocker arms, pushrods and a camshaft for $900. I now have the engine out of my car up for sale. I am in the process of building a new one for this season and need to get rid of all the old stuff I have. I also have the complete T-5 set-up for sale too. Complete with clutch, Pro-5.0 shifter, Accufab cable, flywheel, etc as well as an 86-97 off-road H-pipe. Give me a call if I can help you out with anything.
