If you want "budget boost", perhaps you should look into fabricating your own turbo kit out of junkyard parts. I seem to remember Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords constructing a twin-turbo setup for a fox-body for under $1500 out of 2 SVO turbos, a Volvo intercooler, and other various used parts. Just a thought.
thats a great idea and that was my original thought. except i cant find a manifold for a turbo setup either. the only thing i heard about getting a manifold for my 4.6 was to buy a header and fabricate my own. so if you know of anywhere i can locate just a manifold for a turbo setup, that could be very helpful too. thanx.

with a roots style blower, an intercooler is not an option,

its an aftercooler that sits in between manifold and blower

You have any idea what issue that was?? I'd love to pick it up.

And the question someone had about a turbo headers for the 4.6. The best idea would be to have them custom made.

with all of the time and effort you will have into the fabrication, it will most likely be cheaper to just buy one that is made for your motor...
There'll be more to it than just the blower (fuel pumps, lines, rails, computer (or at least a chip). etc....

Different manifold? Like I said in my post before the V6 SUPERCOUPE SUPERCHARGER IS MADE FOR A V6!!! If you want a roots blower buy a 03 Cobra.

I also think roots blowers can have an intercooler (not sure how) but the 03 Cobra has got one.

I would have to advise against the idea but lets assume you found a manifold that would work, how many miles are on that blower? if its any where near 100k id say forget it. I had a 90 T Bird SC and mine went at 95k. I have met many others that said there's never made it to 120k. your also talking about adding a pulley and tryn to get more out of it which will resualt in an early grave. As Strokd85 mentioned, you will need to upgrade your fuel sys.

IMO its going to be a long road of bs to deal with if you go that route and it would be less of a pain if you just saved and found an app that has been tested on your setup. You have no data to start with and that means trial and error aka lots of cash to spend. Do you have a tweeker or anything to tune your car with??

JY Turbo kit???I believe itsturbo.net will sell you the headers and any other parts you need, also visit the JY turbo group on Yahoo to find others that have made JY kits for stangs. I found my kit on turbomustangs.com

Matt there was a kit forsale using a set of Mark VIII manifolds floating around but to be honest im not sure if its still forsale or not, its been weeks since I last noticed it.

Good luck
