Default Exahust Swap Out

I'll be ordering a new catback here in the next couple of days... I want to do this myself (just for the sake of doing it myself.. piss on the money part of it).

I'm thinking just a simple unbolt the old one... slap on the new one... right?

Whenever I had Exhaust work done, everytime it looked like their was some welding involved, could have just been my cars imperticularly (<<big word, cant spell it).. but there was a bit of welding going on.

Most cat-back systems are bolt-ons. If there is welding involved, I think it would say. You will have to weld in mufflers though.

Everything is there... and the description says a 1 man job... so I'm assuming I can handle that.

Are there gaskets (or gasket material) between the x-pipe and the exhaust?

Cool.... that's what it looked like when I was under there... just wanted to be sure.

I know how my luck runs...get underneath it.. take it all apart.. and then find out I don't have everything I need!!

Ya if it'a a bolt-on catback it's a cake job. The only hard part would be taking off the rubber gromets(sp?) that hold the hangers. Those phuckers are a bitch to pull out. Just use some WD40 or something. U gotta lube it! -Mark
