Default tranny help (t-45)

i was driving home wed. and i was at a light in traffic and my clutch cable snapped......

so i jamed it into second gear slowly but i did force it in to get out of the street.....

i replaced the clutch cable but now second gear grinds when i shif into it..

if i am at a stop and slowly pull it into second it works fine but from 1st to 2nd or a downshift makes it grinds......

i'm guessing i bent the shift fork......

so my question is this... does it sound like the fork to you... and can they be replced at all.... and if so how difficult is it????

any help is appreciated!!!

this is a t-45 in a 97 gt .......

I wanna say u messed up a synchro but then again I wanna say no cause from 1st gear to 2nd gear a grind would be normal for a synchro if it was messed up, but from a downshift of any gear to 2nd it would not grind because it has been synched already.
I dont know other than that, thats all the info I can give ya, and I shift sometimes just messing around with no clutch, u gotta match rpm's with the shift, u can just throw it in.
Did u match the rpms or just toss it in there?

Its either the fork or the synchro. There are no other options.

to bad u didn't know bout rev matching it, that way u could of have at least matched the speed to synch the gear and synchro's.
Most likely it would not have been so destructive...
ehh what can u do now
