Losing coolant fast...
I just did the water pump on the 302... Not leaking a Drop!!!! I am a person that checks the car every week just to be sure I know I saw the levels and WOW...
The coolant was low 32 oz ... and only 5 days,,, I was like what.... I filled the car up and ran it in place and about 20 minutes it didnt drip at all!!!!!!
I was happy maybe a air pocket moved.. ?? or air lock... ?
I been driving the are and no issues... There is no Temp gauge. 88 merc GM. V8 5.0 FI
I been told the Head gasket but Wouldnt I be leaking oil or the car running rough..
The car runs great The Mpg are same since the day I got it.
any advise is a great help.

Honestly, you could have a slow leak from the head gasket and it will just burn in the cylinder. It is possible that you wouldn't see any other signs.
If you pull the plugs, you might see some signs of a wet plug or it might be white, due to the heat.
