After cleaning the engine of my new car, I realize the Intake Manifold says "Contender" on it, which leads me to think that it's an aftermarket performance manifold.. has anyone ever heard of a Contender Intake Manifold? And If so, are there any links with info about them?

Ive fully looked over the car, and as of about 3 hours ago.. heres what it has.. and now I know I got a good deal...

-Aftermarket Shocks&Struts (cant tell which kind)
-Flowmaster Mufflers (they are old though, have small hole in each one)
-MSD Billet Distributor, MSD 6A Ignition Module, MSD Blaster 2 Coil
-Holley Carburetor (cant tell which kind)
-Holley Contender Intake Manifold (NEVER heard of it until yesterday)
-Electric Radiator Fan
-B&M Quickshifter
-Edelbrock Air Cleaner (dirty, and im going to replace)

I get my new hood, brakes, racing harness, and steering wheel shit tomarrow.

I have no idea what this car is going to run in the 8th... ill be running it next wednesday at Sunshine Speedway probably after 8 p.m. I wish I could find out if any of the internals are aftermarket (I wouldnt be suprised), but im not good enough working on engines yet to do it, and check. Oh well, I traded an 89 crx dx (automatic sohc) for it.. I think I got a good deal. I also gave the guy (who knew absolutely nothing about the mustang when he sold it too me) $300

 

Not too mention, it has the swapped 302 v8 in it, the biggest engine they made that year was a 289 :o
