Battery Question
Ive had this problem frequently.. even while the car is off, for some reason, my batteries are going dead. After a couple of days, the car wont start because of the battery, but I dont know whats killing it. Radio is off, cars off, lights off, electric fan is off, everything is off... and still, batteries die every couple of days.
Anyone have ANY idea?

Since I am under the impression that you do not wrench on cars and will need someone to help you try this.
Call up a few garages in your area, (AAA approved garages all do this for free but so do most others) Ask them if they can do an Electrical test on your car ie check battery, starter and charging sys, ask if there is a charge for doing this before ya go, most garages will do this for free. Try to watch the screen on the machine while he is running the test and ask questions, make sure the mech. tells you how many volts your alt and battery are putting out then compare notes with some of the guys around here. It could be in the batt or charging sys, so have those checked before ya pay someone 40+ per hour to check out the rest of the car with a meter.
There could be a number of things, hell I had a short in my car, the small wire that lights up the visor mirror was split and shorting out on the L arm that the visor mounts to. It was poping the fuse for my int lights, power mirrors, gas tank door.
sounds simple but I spent a week testing and re testing switches and accesories before I flipped the visor down and found myself staring directly at the split wire
DOH!!!!!
Good luck I hope ya figure it out.
PS I think your still in school so my advise is to take an Electonics class if ya can, it will help you understand the basics and make it easy for you to do this yourself in the future

Me and a buddy did some work on it today.. and found that the battery is slam dead, and the alternator is beginning to take a shit.. so I should be able to fix it
***EDIT***
By the way, while working on the engine today, I found out my carb. is a Holley aftermarket carb, and my intake manifold says "Contender" on it... anyone ever heard of a Contender Intake Manifold?
