ford nine inch
I have a ford nine inch out of a 72 couger suposedly, and I want to put the rear end into my dodge dart, but the rear end is about five and a half inches off, does anyone know where I can get this rear axle sized to fit my car, plus the rear axle is off center<meaning that the yoke is offcenter>
any advice or tips
thank you

there is a place around the balm/wimauma area called Frankland rearends that can probably handle the whole job. they make their own rears for sprint cars and such and can re-spline axles if my memory serves me correctly. not sure of a number or address though.

Allen's axles (although some say they have had problems with him) in Pinellas somewhere. I personally wouldn't have a lawnmower axle made by Jamie Frankland. He's a pompous asshole and is WAY too expensive. But some people have had good luck with him though. I would call all the places listed and see which one you feel most comfortable with. The work really isn't that difficult, its having the jigs made thats tough.
If you are looking to have the axle housing shortened to fit the car, give Carl at Addy's Automotive a call. 727-581-0826. He has the tools to make sure that it is done right and going to be straight when finished. I worked for him for a few years and have seen him do plenty of them.
