Default Someone call 1-800- EXCORSIST

So I try to start the dirty whore last night a hour after driving her and it won't start, just makes this clicking machine gun noise. I thought it was the starter so I push started the car. Car starts, runs fine but all electrical systems start going ape shit :o Gauges, CD player, dummy lights started flashing, the needles on all the gauges except the speedometer start to fly around ( Autometer tach just froze). Then I shut the car off, but dome light will not go out and starter makes same noise. The weird part is everything works with the key out of the ignition,A/C,radio,p/w,p/s
The fuses seem ok to me, don't know too much about electrical systems.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

THANX!!!

Unless your battery is toast I would recommend checking your battery terminal connections and/or the cable connections to the main bus.

Check Ignition Module, I had a problem like that, but only my lights were cutting on and off, I replaced my Ignition Module with a factory replacement in my mustang (which I dont have nemore), and the problem stopped... I dont know much about electrical either, all I knew was that the module was old anyways, and it wouldnt hurt to replace it. Hope this helps.

Well that would explain the blood seeping out of the A/C vents...

sounds like something is grounding out or maybe a wire has gone bad allowing you power to stay on--- disconnet the batt so it doesnt acidentally drain ....

i'm might also be the key mechanism --- that shit happned to my sisters tempo --- it was the starting mech in the steering coulmn(where the key turns the car on) that might be the reason why everythin is still on as well.....

easy to check this stuff...... well the steering coulmn anyway --

i'd also get beneath the car and look for sparks as you try to star it --- if it is grounding out you;ll prolly see some sparks from somewhere .....

easiest way to check the soleniod is to run a cable directly from the batt to it and see if the starter turns.....

electrical problems suck --- there are so many things that can go wrong
