? dealing with my H pipe......
ok I took off stock pipes today and stuck an offorad h pipe on, no cats compared to my original 4 cats that were there.
Well, a bolt broke off inside the flange on the left bank of the header where it joins the header and the h pipe. well this makes a huge exhaust leak cause of a bolt missing in its place cause the bolt is currently taking space by blocking a path for another bolt to actually hook into it and connect them.
well I worked on it all fucking day should have taken like 2 hours or less.
I was there like 5 plus hours fucking with my exhaust trying to make it sounds ok.
I got stock mufflers, no flowmasters.
Has anyone ever used stock mufflers on a fox body with an x or h pipe?
I mean it shouldn't be to loud, and not as loud as it is anyway.
Flowmasters just flow a little more air and give a more mellow tone to the exhaust right?
I mean it shouldn't sound like a god damn rednecks truck.
its fucking sick. I gotta fix the flange, but im worried it will still sound like shit if that flange is fixed, I hope its not leaking anywhere else, and the main reason for my concern is cause its so damn loud from one simple exhaust leak , I mean it aint much and it sounds like I am running open header with nothing after it period.
thanx for all replies to this..

What would be the easiest way to get the flows out without cutting them with a torch, I know u can either take the axle off or fish it out when its on a lift but what in ure oppinion is best and easiest?
I got the H pipe on late last night, sounds nice, I had to go back and fix the emmisions pump thing that flows clean air into ure exhaust to fool the emmissions people doing the test on ure car, I am sure u know what exactly I mean. Its a little aluminum bulb, almost like a mushroom that pushes clean air, it sounds like all hell without that in it. So because the exhaust is plugged down there on the H pipe , this way u cant put the little emmisions things in, I had to crimp the hell outa it, now only the slightest little bit of air thats not even noticable for hearing comes out of it.
I got a slight leak on the left bank header bolt thats gonna be fixed today once I leave the house, but after that its gonna sound soooooo goood....it sounds fucking sweeeet1
