Question about springs
Right now i have FMS 1" springs all the way around and itsa really stiff
im running lakewood 70/30's in the front and 50/50's in the back!
i was thinking about puttin 4 banger springs in the rear (b/c i hear its better for the launch) and i wanna know , how much will it raise the read end of the car up. i like the looks of my car right now and i dont want itto look like a 69 camaro
and if not the 4 cyl, which setup should i go with??
thanks
Donnie

I'm not even sure that the rear springs are different between the 4 and 8 cars. If you go to NAPA, look in their spring book, it lists in great detail what different part numbers there are for all the different options. I did this alot when I worked there and put 4 cyl springs on my car, but I kept my stock v8 rears.

you can soften it up at the track and lower it back down for the street

That will work the best as far as drag racing, but its probably designed for stock ride height. You really don't want to drag race a lowered car anyway, cause its not really gonna work.

Dave is on the money here. You will have to sacrifice the lowered look if you want to have a good launching car. You can do what I did and get taller tires to eliminate some of the wheel well gap.
